On April 21^styou’ll find us at our booth at the San Diego Celebrates Israel event powered by Jewish Federation at Nobel Athletic Field in La Jolla. The day will include awesome entertainment by the IDF Musical Ensemble, and Re-Vital Israeli Dance Troup. A Live Hummus Cook-off, youth and teen activities, a Kosher food pavilion, the Belly Button Circus, a young adult lounge, children’s art exhibit and much more. BESA’s Maximum Impact Productions Greg Rackley will be DJ’ing and photographing the entire event will be Patricia Del Rio of Del Rio Studios. Is there a Bar/Bat Mitzvah in your future? Wouldn’t it be great to have an experienced team of Bar/Bat Mitzvah Specialists working together to orchestrate your event? What if you could find all the resources in ONE PLACE to make your event a success? BESA, The Bar/Bat Mitzvah Event Services Association, is a unique organization made up of established event professionals specializing in Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s. The purpose of this association is to provide resources and quality services to San Diego’s Jewish community for all their event needs. BESA members must have performed their services at a minimum of 75 Bar/Bat Mitzvahs to be considered for membership. Sunday, March 10th is the 11th Annual BESA EXPO. The EXPO will feature over 60 BESA members. The venders showcasing will include Event Planners, Musicians, Photographers, Invitations, Videographers, Décor, Venue’s, Caterers, Entertainment, Specialty Food items and more. This FREE event will take place at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines from 12pm – 4pm. This years theme is “MitzvahCon” and there’s lots of fun, food, live performances, interactive games and activities plus many surprises in store! We have this year special performances by “Dance Masters Showcase”, which include dancers seen in the movie “Step Up 3-D”, “So You Think You Can Dance” and “America’s Best Dance Crew”! Absolutely Fabulous! Events and Productions provided their Spandex USA chair covers for a Grammy Awards After Party. The colorful theme (supported with our colorful chair covers) was “BOLLYWOOD” – the famous movie-making enterprise of India.

Emily and her dad Richard, along with their event planner, Sherrill Kinsler, and the Hilton San Diego Del Mar, planned an amazingly fun party. After officially becoming an adult in the Jewish Community, it was definitely time to celebrate! The table decor by Sherrill Kinsler was a simple table-scape including colored sand, candles and shells, as requested by the Bat Mitzvah girl, with some fun “beach” items to top it off.

Delicious lunch served by the Hilton San Diego Del Mar was a huge hit. After appetizers, guests enjoyed a Caesar Salad followed by a choice of Chicken Rosa or Pesto Crusted Salmon. Yum! No guest went home hungry!

The fun and games was easily the best part of the party – and even our very own Sherrill Kinsler couldn’t help from joining in on the fun!
